The Bengals have released 31 year old RB Kenny Watson.  Watson played in 10 games for the Bengals last season and he carried the ball 13 times for 55 yards (4.2 ypc).  He also caught 3 passes for 4 yards (1.3 avg).  In five years with the Bengals, Watson played in 66 games and he carried the ball 242 times for 1,117 yards (4.6 ypc) with 8 TD runs.  He also caught 103 passes for 762 yards (7.4 avg) with 1 TD grab.  Watson was also helpful on special teams with 34 kickoff returns for 614 yards (18.1 avg).  This was a odd time to cut Watson as the Bengals don’t exactly have a lot of depth at running back.

The Bengals have lost 32-year old TE Reggie Kelly for the season due to a ruptured ACL.  Kelly played in all 16 games for the Bengals last season and he caught 31 passes for 207 yards (6.7 avg).  He has now played in 90 games (6 years) for the Bengals in which he has caught 115 passes for 928 yards (8.1 avg) with 3 TD grabs.  The Bengals don’t use the TE much in the offense so they should be able to get by without Kelly this season.
