Cincinnati Bengals vs. San Francisco 49ers

This is a game between two of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this season.  The Bengals have played better lately as they have won 2 of their last three games and they are somewhat healthy.  The 49ers started out the season 2-0 but the have only won 1 of their last 11 games and will be starting a QB that has never started an NFL game.

The Bengals will probably mix it up on offense in this football game as the 49ers have been awful on both sides of the football this season.  Carson Palmer will probably have a lot of time to throw the football as the 49ers don’t usually have much of a pass rush.  With that in mind it could be a long night for the 49ers defensive backs.  Chad Johnson (79 rec, 1,187 yards, 6 TDs), T.J. Houshmandzadeh (96 rec, 966 yards, 11 TDs) and Chris Henry (18 rec, 268 yards, TD) should all have a lot of success against the Niners.  If the Bengals get the lead throwing the ball they will then try to grind the win out on the ground with Rudi Johnson, Kenny Watson and de de Dorsey.

The 49ers will likely attack the run defense of the Bengals with Frank Gore who has been running better as of late.  The Bengals are allowing 116.5 yards rushing per game so far this season and 4.2 yards per carry so Gore should have a lot of success.  The 49ers should also attack the safeties of the Bengals with TE Vernon Davis who is a matchup nightmare.  After all, a tight end is a young QBs best friend.  With Shaun Hill making his first NFL start the 49ers will likely keep it safe in the passing game.

PREDICTION:  CINCINNATI BENGALS 27, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 16
