The Bengals got thumped again last night in Cincinnati. Carson Palmer was a little off all night long as he completed 21 of 35 passes for 234 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 interceptions. Kenny Watson ran the ball well with 55 yards rushing on 13 carries (4.2 ypc) but he was pretty much taken out of the game when the Patriots raced out to a big lead. T.J. Houshmandzadeh did his part last night as he caught 10 passes for 100 yards (10.0 avg) with 1 TD grab. Chad Johnson however was dropping some passes he always catches last night and he finished with only 3 catches for 53 yards (17.7 avg). The Bengals finished with 57 yards rushing on 15 carries (3.8 ypc) and they completed 21 of 35 passes for 226 yards despite only having possession of the football for 22:36 of the football game.
The Bengals “defense” was led by safety Madieu Williams who had 9 tackles. The Patriots rushed for 173 yards on 34 carries (5.1 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 32 passes for 231 yards.
