This was a good move by the Bengals as Larson did a great job kicking the ball last year.  He played in all 16 games last season and he punted the ball 77 times for 3,428 yards (44.5 avg) for a net gain of 38.6 yards.  He also pinned the opposing teams inside the 20 yard line 26 times last season.

The Cincinnati Bengals finally dip into the free agent market

The Bengals have finally joined in on the free agent party and signed center Alex Stepanovich.  He was injured most of last season as he started only 5 games for the Arizona Cardinals.  In his three year NFL career, Stepanovich has started 30 games for the Arizona Cardinals.  The 6′4″, 312 pound lineman will provide depth along the line for the Bengals and they need it.

The Bengals re-sign TE Reggie Kelly to a 3-year contract

Reggie Kelly re-signed with the Bengals after testing the free agent waters.  He played in all 16 games last season and he caught 21 passes for 254 yards (12.1 avg) with 1 TD catch.  He probably won’t catch many more passes than that as the Bengals prefer to throw the ball down the field.  Kelly is a good run blocker though and that’s why he got the big money.

The Bengals re-sign RB Kenny Watson to a three year contract

The Bengals have re-signed Kenny Watson to a new three year deal.  The Bengals made this move because former #1 pick Chris Perry is so injury prone.  Watson played in all 16 games for the Bengals last season and he carried the ball 25 times for 138 yards (5.5 ypc) with 1 TD run.  He also caught 23 passes for 213 yards (9.3 avg).  Watson returned 10 kickoffs for 198 yards (19.8 avg).  Look for Watson to continue to be a contributor on the Bengals offense.
